Be A Vendor in Direct Sales!

THE FALL BRINGS THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE A VENDOR AT HOLIDAY EVENTS. 


YOUR TABLE CAN BE SMALL OR LARGE! 
The way to get your products into the hands of customers is to make your presense known in the community.  Avon has everything but it also has some specials that everyone looks for at a table.
GIVE OUT BROCHURES AND BUSINESS CARDS FIRST AND FOREMOST Get your information in the hands of potential customers, fundraisers and business partners.
Tis the season to make a nice cup of tea or coffee and shop online to avoid the crowds.
WE HAVE EVERYTHING!

WHERE:  House Parties, Church Bazaars, Neighborhood Holiday Events, Host your own Holiday Event!  

What: Skin So Soft, I take Bug Guard into Fall, Glimmersticks, Footworks, Hand Cream especial Intensive Care, Liquid Make-up remover, Towelettes Make-up remover,  Nail Polish, Lipsticks if not hot. 
I also take Deodorants, Fragrences,  Jewelry and any Stock Up I have. 
If you have product, don't buy too much. You never know what's going to sell.  Keep it simple. Few people come for Skin Care but I do sell some at each table. 
Stock up is great here. You will gain lots of Award Sales and you can sell product here at a discount.
WHAT'S NEW Keep an eye on products at a low cost in the What's New Catalogues. 


DISPLAYS:  I take a plexiglass display with FUNDRAISING and AVON IS HIRING. Make up your own Sign. Large and Simple to attract attention. Tent for outside. Table for display with Avon table cover and/or cover with Avon throw. These can be purchased at youravon.com, Town and Country.  I am showing some OLD signs I made up in the beginning. They show that you may type up and print just about anything to attract new members to your team. Avon also has flyers you may download.





RAFFLE: I sometimes do raffles but not always. Your choice. You can use the names and emails you collect to call for sales or possible new reps. 

Some other things to look for when considering being a vendor.

1) Know your audience! This is crucial. Be sure you are at a Show that wants your products. If you are selling makeup, a home show may not be your best bet. They are looking for plumbers and roofers.

2) Let your Dollars match the Crowd - You don't want to spend $40 or more to attend a Show with 100 vendors and 100 shoppers. Doesn't work! Be sure to ask how many shoppers are expected to walk past your booth.  When I am a vendor, I want to make some contacts and some money.

3) Advertising - Ask how the Sponsor is advertising. If you are in a school which advertises to their student body and their families, good for you! Not all events are this large. If the crowd is not evident, ask how the word is getting out to buyers.  Remember, ask any questions you want before parting with your hard earned money.

4) Bring items that move quickly. Again, know your audience. You know what sells at these events by asking others and by experience. You don't want to be lugging huge items around unless you have a moving crew. You also must fit in a small spot and you want to make the most of it.

5) Have a sign up sheet. Some prefer to put up a basket, play games, or give out gift certificates to get people to stop at your booth.
If you don't get names and emails or other contact information, you're wasting your time. ASK for their names and emails.  Give out COUPONS for 10% off if they give you their information.

6) Take Orders - Offer your services to take orders to start your partnership. ALWAYS take payment for any products ordered.

7) Square - There are many credit card readers out there. I like the Square. Customers are likely to spend more with a credit card. Be safe! Use a cc reader to complete the transaction.

8) Share Information and Opportunity Regarding Your Company/Product- I love to share the opportunity and product information to all who stop at my booth. I love talking to people! If you don't like talking to people, hmmmm. Maybe you're in the wrong line of work:-)

9) Stand in front of your table - Don't hide in the background. I hand out Brochures in a plastic bag with my Business Cards and a sample. I pre-package these items and hand them out to everyone who will accept one when they pass.

10) Make your Table Attractive - Be prepared. Set up your table at home and make sure it works for you. If you have too many items, it may be distracting. I have many small items I like to fit neatly in display boxes and I place a price on the box when I can for each. I believe customers like to see the price displayed.

11) Bring a co-worker with you. Share the expense and the sales.

Book Toss

Good Morning Everyone,

It is 6:00am and I just had breakfast after a book toss with my Avon Brochures. It's a great time and I just approached about 200 potential customers and team mates.  This is a great way to put your expired brochures to work. You were going to trash them anyway, right? Why not use them to find new partners and customers.

Here's how I like to roll....


  • Save brochures that you may not have used.  
  • Get your hands on brochures that other reps don't want. 
    • You may do this by picking up brochures that others return to their manager because of order error. 
    • Go onto your district's facebook page and ask other reps for any unwanted brochures
    • order LOTS of brochures.
  • purchase mailing labels where you can for the best price you can find.
  • print labels for the back of the brochure with your 
    • name
    • phone number
    • email
    • web address for your eStore
    • dates (if you have the time.)
    • Reference Code, your name at the end of your eStore

The above flyer includes information on shopping, online sign up and fund raising information. It changes according to my needs and wants. 4 to a page works nicely. 
HELP: I employ my grandchildren to help out once a month so that my work goes quickly. What's nice is that they now do this project without me, leaving me time to call my leads.  
They prepare my new brochures in the same manner and they are ready to go. Any left over brochures are already prepared and I toss them in a box untill I am ready to TOSS.

Grab your coffee, take a friend if you can, load your car with completed brochures the night before, start out early - I like 5:00am because it is quiet with little traffic. Pick a neighborhood. 

When I am delivering to my customers or just driving around I think, "this is a great place for a book toss." I write one address to return to in my note book which I keep in my car to record my miles. I then know where to return to Toss. 

Doing this once a month or every other month will get your business into 100s of new potential customer's hands. 

Reminder! This is no substitution for handing a potential partner/customer a brochure face-to-face. Personal connection is best. You may also directly approach someone via personal email or text. This is a great way to get your name and info out into the neighborhoods. I have had people call me months after they received a brochure from a book TOSS.

HAPPY FEET FROM HEEL TO TOE!

AVON & FACIALS!

Last week I treated my face to a facial. Between you and me, I had some blackheads at the tip of my nose. Yaouser! They hurt when extracting. My face is otherwise smooth and radiant. Really! I use Anew Ultimate Face System: cleanser, day and night cream. I also use VITAMIN C. I use the VITALE EYE SYSTEM because I really think it takes care of my puffy under eyes. I love these product, especially our new Vitamin C. I always thought my skin was a little dull until I started using this.

The anestetician put the following on my face: cleanser, toner, Vitamin C, Alphy Hydroxy Cream, Moisturizer and Sun Block! Geez! and I thought I could only use one clinical at a time!

We have all of these products. ANEW AHA Refining Cream is one of my new clinicals. My other is ANEW CLINICAL EXTRA STRENGTH EXTRAFORT RETEXTURIZING PEEL.  BOTH of these products are to be used every other or every few days. They also require you to use a sun block on your face. ANEW ULTIMATE DAY Moisturizer has a SPF 25 SUNSCREEN in it. If you like, add a sunscreen to your face as the last step.

My skin has never felt so good and the tiny, almost microscopic black heads on the tip of my nose have loosened up so that I may extract them with ease. Avon's extraction tool is great!

Avon also has MASKS. For everything! I love the ANEW CLINICAL OVERNIGHT HYDRATION MASK. When I wake up, my face feels so smooth and clean.

I would appreciate and enjoy being your Fundraising Coordinator with Avon. My participants will receive:
  • 25% of your sales of $500.99 or less. 
  • 30% of your sales if your sales are  $501.00 and over. (tax not included in this equation)
  • You will be responsible for a 7% sales tax unless you have a tax exempt number. (some states may vary) If so, please forward your tax exempt information to me, brippert1@gmail.com. Taxes are paid on the full amount of the product before your earnings. 
  • I will assume the shipping cost. 
  • Parent's Note will be provided along with fund raising flyers below. You may print these forms or forward them to your parents via email or social media.
Payment
You may send me orders with full payment of product and tax amount (if applicable) and I will send your team a check for percentage earned. 
Checks here will be made payable to BARBARA RIPPERT.

OR
You may have payments made payable to your organization and send me the amount I require to process the order. 

I will package and deliver items to you. Or I can ship the entire order to you with   bags for your committee to bag.

Please let me know a date and time period for your fund raiser. I suggest a 2 week period. 

I look forward to working with you to achieve great sales and earnings for your organization, school or team. I am available to answer any questions you may have and work out the particulars for your unique organization.

The attached fundraising sheets are available from C14 to C19, 2016. This means that I will need orders and payment on these fundraising sheets no later than Saturday, August 20, 2016. After this date, NO PROBLEM; new Avon fund raising sheets will be provided to you by me. We like to keep our fund raising opportunity fresh and new. So feel free to have multiple fund raisers with us throughout the year.

I want to share the Avon Opportunity in fund raising for your organization. Below are some links to our fundraising sheets which can be printed out or emailed to your participants. I have also included our Fundraising Agreement Form and Parent Letter for your review.  Once you decide on a flyer or flyers, it's easy to proceed.
